THE PROJECT IN ACTION
From Carnivals to Design Nights and everything in between, check out what we've been up to and what's coming up, here!
Akron Children's Hospital Mega Event
"Welcome to the Project Outrun Design Lab!" On Saturday, April 21st, our Sneaker Squad and volunteers transformed the Akron Children's Hospital Considine Professional Building into our very own shoe design lab. 34 kids visited the lab to design their custom NikeID shoes. Along with their families they also got to enjoy a swag bag station, craft table, face painting, pop-a-shot, "lace race" obstacle course, a performance from the Rockin' Robots, and lots & lots of LOVE!
GRIZZLY DESIGN NIGHT @ LINCOLN ELEMENTARY
Tuesday, March 27, 2018 was a special night for our Project. We hosted to amazing Wadsworth siblings, Caleb and Olivia at Lincoln Elementary School as part of our Outrun Outreach Program. Andy connected these two through the Akron Children's Instagram, and knew he had to get them in shoes ASAP! Andy's wife, Stef, as well as three other primary sneaker squad members (Aimey, Katie, and Anna) are all teachers at Lincoln, and we felt it was time to share our project with the community where these teachers work! Check out some pictures of this wonderful night.

BRINGING EVERYONE TOGETHER
We had an inaugural event in July of 2017 to bring everyone together who had helped in some way getting the project started. It was completely volunteer run and kiddos and adults alike had a great time!
DESIGN NIGHTS IN ACTION
Design nights are when The Project is brought to life. Volunteers work with Pediatric Cancer patients to design their custom Nike iD shoes.
